Metal–metal cooperation plays a crucial role in synergistic catalysis including C−C bond coupling. This work reports dynamic Pd/Cu assemblies as models to study individual steps of Sonogashira coupling. This study reveals the importance of rearrangements of the highly dynamic multimetallic assemblies (represented as constellations in this cover image) at the various steps of alkyne activation and transmetalation.
