Study on control strategy of the vine clamping conveying system in the peanut combine harvester

Abstract In order to solve the problem of blockage of the clamping conveying system for peanut combine harvester, a peanut vine clamping conveying system (PVCCS) with flow control scheme is proposed, and the system mathematical modeling of hydraulic system is presented based on its physical attributes. Taking Baisha peanut variety as the research subject, the reasonable field working speed and blockage pressure threshold of system is determined via the loading characteristics analysis under typical working speed conditions for the PVCCS. A control strategy with logic threshold approach is developed to avoid the system blockage during peanut harvesting with a reasonable field working speed. The field experimental results show that the proposed PVCCS and its control can meet the requirements of harvesting and avoid the blockage of system effectively.
