A copper-catalyzed 1,1-alkynylalkylation of alkynes with α-haloacetamides is realized. This reaction provides a practical and simple synthetic methodology for various conjugated enynes with excellent functional group compatibility and high stereo- and regioselectivity. The mechanism of the tandem copper-catalyzed Sonogashira coupling reaction and syn-alkynylcupration of allenamides has been investigated.
