Technique for Measuring Radon Volumetric Activity in Platform Regions

The results of monitoring the radon volumetric activity (RVA) in soil air at eight testing sites located in the fault zones and beyond them are presented. The dependence of the changes in radon volumetric activity on the depth of the well, time of day, and meteorological parameters, main of which being temperature, is revealed. Based on the entire set of the collected data, the optimal conditions for conducting the profile radon surveys aimed at identifying the fault zones in platform conditions are determined.
