Transition‐Metal‐Free Csp2−H Regioselective Thiocyanation of Free Anilines

A highly efficient and general method for the direct Csp2−H radical thiocyanation of free anilines was developed under transition‐metal‐free conditions, which can be used with stable and nontoxic potassium SCN as a thiocyanation source and potassium persulfate as the oxidant to synthesize p‐thiocyanoanilines with good yields, regioselectivity, and broad substrate tolerance. This reaction offers a simple regioselective method for the synthesis of para‐position thiocyanate (SCN)‐ containing anilines.
