Computationally Efficient Constructive Interference Precoding for PSK Modulations under Per-antenna Power Constraint

This correspondence investigates computationally efficient constructive interference (CI)-based precoding for phase-shift-keying (PSK)-modulated multiuser multiple-input-single-output (MISO) systems. In contrast to the existing CI-based precoders which are designed exclusively under the sum power constraint, we focus on the design problem under the more challenging but realistic per-antenna power constraint (PAPC). We showed that both the strict and non-strict phase rotation CI-based precoders under PAPC can be efficiently realized under a unified new framework. Simulation results showed that the proposed CI-based precoders admit substantially lower complexity while achieving essentially the same error rate performance as their optimization-based counterparts.
