The Cover Feature shows the concept of the lithium metal anode with an artificial layer in high‐energy lithium metal batteries being able to power electric vehicles and large energy storage systems instead of traditional energy sources. Modifying the surface of lithium metal is one of the most effective solutions to get over challenges that the lithium metal battery has faced. This review deals with the state‐of‐the‐art lithium metal anodes with artificial layers paired with high capacity cathodes such as air, sulfur, and Ni‐rich cathode materials, as well as introducing analysis tools to study them.
