Twisting is a novel way for the manipulation of waves in 2D electronic and photonic systems. While Moiré patterns are formed in twisting bilayers or multi‐layers, in article number 2000010, Bo Hou, Jian‐Hua Jiang, and co‐workers demonstrate that lateral heterostructures of twisted 2D photonic crystals give rise to higher‐order topology—a phenomenon where topological physics emerge concurrently at multiple dimensions in a single system.
