A Fast Approach of Preparing Graphene Oxide with Controllable Interlayer Spacing by the Modified Electrolytic Oxidation

Abstract In this paper, the graphene oxide was successfully prepared in 10 min via the electrolysis process. In the experiment, we can effectively and precisely control the spacing and thickness of graphene oxide layers for the first time by controlling the electrolytic voltage. Then GO was well analyzed by various spectroscopic techniques such as FTIR, Raman and UV-Vis. Furthermore, the growth mechanism has been discussed. Only when we accurately control the time and speed of inserting sulfuric acid molecules can we prepare graphene oxide with excellent properties, which is more conducive to its further application of the graphene-based composites.
