Application of Arc Enhanced Magnetron Sputtering Coating to Domestic Rings

Abstract The arc enhanced magnetron sputtering coating technology is used to coat the surface of ordinary domestic rings. Then spinning comparative experiments are performed on the same spinning frame using ordinary rings, coated rings and imported ring, respectively, to analyze their yarn quality (hairiness variation) in detail. Based on the test analysis of SEM, AFM, hardness and friction coefficient of the coating, the results indicate that the poor quality, low machining accuracy, inadequate heat treatment and surface treatment of ordinary domestic rings lead to their long running-in period and short service life. Fortunately, the quality and service life of the ring can be greatly improved by surface coating treatment.
