High-Performance Microring Resonator Ge-on-Si Photodetectors by Optimizing Absorption Layer Length

In this paper, the length setting is optimized according to the light field distribution characteristics of the micro-ring photodetector. According to the design principles we proposed, the shorter photodetector has better characteristics than the longer one. This principle has a certain heuristic effect on the optimization of the optical field distribution of photodetectors of other structures. This article has both theoretical novelty and practicality.
