Mo-doped 3D carbon@Sn as high performance anode material for lithium ion batteries

The Mo-doped 3D carbon@Sn composite was developed by using freeze-drying method with the structure of 3D interconnected carbon network. In this unique architecture, 3D interconnected carbon matrix wrapped the Mo and Sn nanoparticles. The 3D carbon matrix can not only accommodate the volume change in cycling, but also enhance the electronic conductivity. Therefore, the excellent electrochemical property of the Mo-doped 3D carbon@Sn with remarkable specific capacity, high rate and long-life cycling can be obtained.
