Abstract
The wave function and ground state energy for a discrete nonlinear Schrödinger equation (DNLSE) with a trap can be found numerically using an iterative process. However, this approach does not always give convergent results. A functional is proposed that is not an energy functional, the minimum of which always gives the ground state of the system under consideration.中文翻译:
