Noncombustible Composites Based on Inorganic Polyoxides. Felt Reinforcement

Mechanical and thermal properties and moisture and water resistance of composites based on an inorganic binder, modified potassium salt of polysilicic acid (“liquid glass”) reinforced with basalt and linen felts and basalt cardboard were measured. The possibility of giving the sheet material an embossed shape is shown. It is concluded that the studied composites, according to the obtained characteristics and manufacturing technology, can have practical applications.
