Abstract
We have determined the adiabatic temperature of the calcium reduction of ZrO2 and CaZrO3 (1525 and 1040 K, respectively) and the reaction onset temperature. In a mixture of reagents under an argon atmosphere in a reactor, it is about 1123 K and is determined by the calcium melting onset. If calcium particles with CaCl2 film on their surface are used as a reducing agent, reduction begins at a temperature of 1023 K in an argon atmosphere and at 973 K in vacuum. By reduction for 3 h at a temperature of 1023 K, we have obtained zirconium powder containing 0.36% oxygen and having a specific surface area of 0.35 m2/g.中文翻译:
