Manipulating the photodetachment dynamics of the H 2 − ion by a Gaussian laser field

The photodetachment of the ##IMG## [http://ej.iop.org/images/0953-4075/53/18/185102/baba203ieqn20.gif] {${\text{H}}_{2}^{-}$} ion in a time-dependent electric field is investigated for the first time. On the basis of time-dependent closed orbit theory, we calculate the photodetachment cross section (PCS) of a ##IMG## [http://ej.iop.org/images/0953-4075/53/18/185102/baba203ieqn21.gif] {${\text{H}}_{2}^{-}$} ion manipulated by a Gaussian laser field.
