In 2018, the 40th IABSE Symposium was hosted in Nantes, France, with the main theme of “Tomorrow’s Megastructures”. The symposium was a great opportunity to debate the existing solutions, to develop the further evolution of our built environment, to discuss their limits, and to exchange ideas on how structures can achieve a good performance over their entire service life. Nantes 2018 contributed to IABSE’s main objective to increase the wellbeing of our society!
