Amyosoma chinense
(Szépligeti, 1902), representing a new generic record is first recorded for the fauna of Iran. It was collected from North East of the country (North Khorasan province), quite far from its typical area of distribution. A diagnosis on the basis of the reliable morphological and morphometric characters is provided for the specimens from Iran, as additions to the knowledge on its variability. A map of distribution indicating the sequential detection of this species throughout the years is also generated.
