ABSTRACT

To better forecast the security in supply-demand management of Chinese forestry enterprises and close the supply-demand gap due to short timber supply, the linear weighted method and artificial neural network (ANN) are jointly applied to forecast the security in supply-demand of the forestry industry. The theories of supply-demand management and early-warning systems are clarified. Indexes in the early-warning system are built by the ecological evaluation pressure-state-response (PSR) model. The optimised early-warning system by linear weighted method and ANN can analyse and forecast the security in supply-demand management of Chinese forestry enterprises.
