A new kind of nanocomposite electrocatalyst has been prepared by decorating sandwich‐type polyoxometalates (POMs) on cobalt diselenide nanobelts. The resulting material exhibited excellent electrocatalytic activity for the hydrogen evolution reaction in acidic medium. The improved electrocatalytic activity and durability can be attributed to the synergistic effect that emerged from effective coordination of POMs on the surface of cobalt diselenide nanobelts.
