A hybrid source model for the Mw 6.6 Jiuzhaigou earthquake, China, based on the finite fault is established. The global parameters are estimated mainly according to the regional seismic structure, crustal structure, seismicity, and semi-empirical calibration laws. The local parameters are divided into two parts: the asperity part describing the deterministic slip and the k-square model describing the random slip. The source models are generated by 30 groups of simulation and are compared with those retrieved by other scholars. The results show that this method can be used as an effective approach to predict seismic source models.
