Abstract
A simple way of estimating the probability of helium ions He+ surviving when reflected from different metal surfaces is described that employs modeling with the SCATTER and TRIM binary collision codes. The probability of reflected helium ions surviving is estimated from their energy spectra, in the form of the ratio of their areas. The dependences of the probability of He+ ions reflected from Cu and Al surviving on the reciprocal perpendicular velocity are calculated, and the characteristic velocity of an electron migrating from a metal to an incident ion is estimated.中文翻译:
