In [1], the authors re‐analyzed the sequences of the two samples described in this publication and observed that the novel allele HLA‐C*03:04:01:38 was identified in only one individual, ID‐149P. The second individual, ID‐205C mentioned in report, had an additional sequence variation, which was later submitted to WHO Nomenclature Committee for Factors of the HLA System and was assigned as HLA‐C*03:04:01:41 (GenBank accession number MN187918 and IPD‐IMGT/HLA Database accession number HWS10055717).

The resulting typing of sample ID‐205C was found to be: A*11:01:01:01, A*11:01:01:01; C*03:04:01:41, C*08:01:01:01; B*15:01:01:01, B*40:01:02:01; DRB1*04:03:01:01, DRB1*04:03:01:01; DQB1*03:02:01:01, DQB1*03:02:01:01; DPB1*03:01:01:01, DPB1*14:01:01:01.
