The Front Cover shows a prism that splits a beam of white light into a plethora of colors. This represents the variety of optical properties which can be achieved in molecular magnets. Like a prism, molecular magnets interact with light on the molecular level, which leads to materials exhibiting optical features such as color change, the photomagnetic effect, or photoemission.
