Designing Heat Concentrators of the Highest Efficiency Using an Optimization Method

Abstract

Inverse problems for the two-dimensional heat transfer model that arise in the development of technologies of designing thermal concentrators are considered. Using an optimization method, these problems are reduced to finite-dimensional extremum problems, which are solved using particle swarm optimization. It is shown that the concentrators designed with the help of the optimization method are simple for implementation and have the maximum efficiency in the class of devices under consideration.
