Abstract
An original mathematical model and a numerical method are proposed for describing the filtration combustion of porous metal-containing media taking into account the phase transformations of metal occurring in them (melting/crystallization and evaporation/condensation). The calculations of heterogeneous combustion of a cadmium-containing mixture have shown that, when a concurrent combustion wave propagates, the metal accumulates (its concentration increases) in the region before the reaction front. Thus, it has been shown that filtration combustion allows us to enrich a metal-containing substance effectively, increasing the concentration of rare metals in them tenfold.中文翻译:
