The above article, first published online on 14 September 2011 in Wiley Online Library (https://doi.org/10.1002/pmic.201100233), has been retracted by agreement with the journal Editor‐in‐Chief and Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co KGaA.

The retraction has been agreed due to duplicated images in some of the figures appearing in the article. Figure 5 contains several duplicated panels and Figure 6 contains re‐arranged western blot bands. As these figures comprise a significant proportion of the results, the Editor‐in‐Chief does not consider the results and conclusions reliable.
