We analyze zero-temperature universal properties of the simplest Galilean-invariant model of spinless low-dimensional fermions with short-range two-body interactions. In particular, it is shown that after proper renormalization of the coupling constant, even the dilute system possesses a rich phase diagram that includes the superfluid state and the metastable “upper-branch” behavior.
