Spotlight on cancer metabolites: This minireview highlights recent advances in stable and flux isotope analysis, as well as radioisotope labeling, which are fundamental methodologies in elucidating cancer metabolites. Coupled with popular analytical tools such as MS, NMR and chromatography, they have helped to bring about exploratory work in recognizing the roles of various metabolites in cancer cells.
