Modified poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate as transparent electrodes for ITO-free perovskite solar cells

In this paper, a dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) bathed poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS, 1:1.25) film served as the transparent conductive layer (TCL) and the undoped PEDOT:PSS (1:6) film was used as the hole transport layer (HTL) of methylammonium lead iodide (MAPbI 3 ) perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Optimal performances (i.e. an open circuit voltage of 0.67 V, a short circuit current density of 20.1 mA cm −2 , a fill factor of 51.8%, and a power conversion efficiency of 8.96%) of the PSC were achieved by a two-layer TCL and HTL.
