Mathematical Description of Phase Transformations and Their Formally Analogous Processes for Engineering Design

Abstract

As applied to phase transformations and their formally analogous processes, mathematical descriptions suitable for engineering design are proposed for successive, bulk, and successive–bulk transformations with the structural rearrangement of the initial system within the proposed formal analogy of these processes. To specify the considered models, they are presented as applied to melt crystallization. Possible methods for solving equations of these models are discussed.
