Abstract

An analysis of the distribution patterns of alien species of macrozoobenthos in the Cheremshansky, Usinsky and Yeruslansky bays of the reservoirs of the Middle and Lower Volga basins is presented. It is revealed that only the most invasively active species (representatives of amphipods, mysids, and bivalve mollusks) successfully settled in the bays. Unlike the reservoirs of the Volga cascade, no consortial interactions between alien species or stable cenotic complexes are formed in the bays.
