Two new α, β-unsaturated bis-enone derivatives: Anti-gastric cancer activity and docking study

Two novel α, β-unsaturated bis-enone derivatives (1 and 2) were designed, synthesized and characterized by infrared radiation (IR), 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS), and single crystal X-ray crystallography. The anticancer activity of the two compounds were investigated against four human gastric cancer cells (MGC-803, SGC-790, MKN45 and AGS) by (3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay. Furthermore, molecular docking study supported the biological assay data and suggested that compound 1 may be a potential anticancer agent.
