Two new coordination polymers based on the 2,4,6-tri(1H-imidazol-1-yl)-1,3,5-triazine ligand: Structures and anticancer activity on human osteogenic sarcoma cell

In this study, two new Co(II)-containing coordination polymers (CPs), [Co(HCOO)(L)](H2O) (1, L = 2,4,6-tri(1H-imidazol-1-yl)-1,3,5-triazine) and [Co(L)(H2O)](NO3) (2) have been successfully prepared by the usage of the layering method. The obtained two complexes were characterized by single crystalX-ray diffraction and elemental analyses. The results show that both complex 1 shows a 2D layered structures with a sql topological net while complex 2 demonstrates a 3D H-bonding network with a (3,6)-connected network. In addition, the anticancer activity of complexes 1-2 was evaluated via the cell counting kit 8 (CCK-8) assays against MG-63 human osteogenic sarcoma cells.
