Structural diversity and anticancer activity on human myocardial aneurysm cells of two Cu(II)-coordination polymers

Two new Cu(II)-based coordination polymers with the chemical formulae of [Cu3(TCA)2(pz)2]·DMF·6H2O (1, pz = pyrazine) and [Cu3(TCA)(4,4-bpy)1.5(OH)3] 3DEF (2, bpy = 4,4-bipyridine, DEF = N,N-diethylformamide) have been successfully prepared by the reaction of a tritopic carboxylic acid 4,4’,4”-nitrilotribenzoic acid (H3TCA) ligand with Cu(NO3)2·3H2O in the presence of different N-donor co-ligands under the solvothermal conditions. The structures of the two as-prepared complexes have been unambiguously determined by single-crystal X-ray study. Furthermore, the anti-proliferation ability of the compounds 1 and 2 on H9C2 myocardial aneurysm cells was evaluated by CCK-8 assay and the colony formation assay. Besides, the migration and invasion capability of H9C2 cells after treated with synthesized complexes was detected by transwell assay.
