Influence of Formation of Nanocomposite Films on Friction Surfaces on the Antifriction Properties of Transmission Oil

Abstract

The processes of the formation of composite films on friction surfaces in the presence of ester, ligand, and copper nanopowder were investigated. The formation of copper-containing nanostructured tribopolymer films on friction surfaces has been established, which leads to a decrease in the friction coefficient. A mechanism for the formation of such films is proposed. Bench tests have shown that the use of transmission oil modified with additives that form composite films on friction surfaces increases transmission efficiency by 6–9%.
