Jitter of pump-probe time delays in XFEL experiments: How to eliminate it?

Jitter of XFEL signals due to the disorder of pump-probe time delay is explored theoretically. Two basically different methods are applied: statistical mechanics and dimensional analysis. Although completely different, these two approaches suggest the same method to suppress jitter generated perturbations. The method which is proposed here is easily applicable and requires no computational effort.
