Novel Layered O3-NaFe0.45Co0.45Ti0.1O2 cathode material for Sodium batteries

Abstract Herein, we report novel layered O3-NaFe0.45Co0.45Ti0.1O2 cathode material has been successfully prepared via conventional solid state reaction. The formation of the material was witnessed at 900 °C from Thermogravimetric (TG) analysis. NaFe0.45Co0.45Ti0.1O2 crystallizes into rhombohedral structure with the space group of R-3 m and the particles are partially spherical and hexagonal in shape. This material delivered an initial discharge capacity of 144 mAh g−1 in the voltage range of 2–4 V at 0.1C rate.
