The Authors presented an important study on developing a formula for the critical shear stress of sand and mud mixtures, and calibrated the formula with four sets of experimental data from Panagiotopoulos, Voulgaris, and Collins (1997); Kothyari and Jain (2008); Ye, Cheng, and Zang (2011); and Smith, Perkey, and Priestas (2015).
