Got you! We optimized an effective RT‐qPCR approach across all steps of the workflow to allow the detection of previously undetected IbsC toxin RNAs for the first time in wild‐type E. coli MG1655. Our carefully described methodologies can be applied to other low‐abundance expression systems to interrupt the pause in their studies.
