A sunflower field is often seen as an image of the active layer of dye‐sensitized solar cells (DSCs). Dye sensitizers that cover titanium oxide electrodes absorb sunlight. In this study, linear dyes containing boron β‐ketoiminate were synthesized and applied to DSCs. Their maximum incident photon‐to‐current conversion efficiencies reached 80% and were higher than those of DSCs using boron β‐diketonate dyes with a bent molecular structure. The photovoltaic characteristics revealed the effective process of light absorption–excitation–electron injection. More information can be found in the Full Paper by Katsuhiko Ono et al.
