Abstract
The spatial distribution of halophilic microbial communities of saline soils and highly mineralized lakes in the arid regions of the Caspian Depression been studied. It is shown that the main components of microbial flora of the Terek-Kumskaya and Terek-Sulakskaya provinces are chemoorganotrophic bacteria of the genera Virgibacillus, Bacillus, Halomonas, and Salimicrobium from the phyla Firmicutes and Proteobacteria. The strains demonstrated the ability to produce catalase, protease, and amylase and sensitivity to 14 antibiotics from the groups of fluoroquinolones, cephalosporins, and macrolides. The findings are of scientific and practical interest for research on the spatial distribution of halophilic bacteria under arid conditions and their biotechnological significance.中文翻译:
