Abstract

A morphological description is given for the armless flounders Neoachiropsetta milfordi and Pseudomancopsetta andriashevi sampled at the underwater Pulkovo Ridge (43°–45° S, 155°–160° W). N. milfordi was reported for the area for the first time. Comparative morphological analysis did not reveal any significant differences in the fish of this species from different parts of the range (Patagonia, New Zealand, the Indian Ocean Sector of the Southern Ocean, and South Africa). The list of documented findings of the fish on the Pulkovo Ridge and the Ridge of Hercules is presented.
