For the first time, we present a passively Q-switched 1060 nm Nd:GSAG laser using a two-dimensional molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂) nanosheet as saturable absorber. We investigate in detail the output characteristics of this laser such as average output power, pulse repetition rate, pulse width, pulse energy, and pulse peak power.
