A novel method for quantitative magneto-optical measurement under non-uniform illumination

Over the years, significant effort has been directed towards the development of quantitative micro-magnetic structure mapping via magneto-optical imaging (MOI). In this regard, several different approaches have been proposed to cope with different experimental environments. However, there are still open questions in the process of quantification with respect to non-uniform illumination, the resolution of positive and negative magnetic fields, camera parameters, and polarized light path settings. In this work, we combine a new processing method with three-rotation angle calibration to substantially optimize the calculation results, leading to a more versatile calibration method. Moreover, we also investigate the effects of the camera parameter setting, noise, and pre-rotation angle on the calculation results. This facilitates the flexible adjustment of the experimental parameters to allow for adaptation to different test environments.
