Beginning with the June issue of the Transactions, papers will be separated into two categories; Part A – Dielectric Fundamentals and Part B – Dielectric Applications. Professor Huseyin Hiziroglu of Kettering University is the co-editor of Part A papers and Professor Giovanni Mazzanti of Bologna University is the co-editor of Part B papers. Part A papers comprise of papers addressing the response of dielectric and electrical insulating materials to electric fields and the development of theory, computer simulation methods, and measurements required to understand and study such responses and investigations of dielectric properties for innovative uses including functional dielectrics. Part B papers will comprise of papers dealing diagnostic, prognostic and the characterization of components of systems containing vacuum, gaseous, liquid and solid dielectrics electrical insulating materials, with a primary focus on the behavior and properties of the electrical insulation in devices and systems under operational stresses; however, the description of diagnostic methods must contain a primary link to the dielectric phenomena studied. Professor Ohki will still continue as the associate editor of Dielectric Letters. Upon submission of a paper, the Editor-in-Chief will categorize the paper as Part A, Part B, or Dielectric Letters.
