We would like to address his comments hereafter. Contrary to what is implied in the letter, the questionnaires used in our study – Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory (PedsQL^TM) Generic Core Scale and Oral Health Scale – are feasible, reliable and valid tools to evaluate health‐related quality of life (HRQoL) for 5‐18 year‐old child self‐report and parent proxy‐report of 2‐18 years‐old children (Varni et al., 2001; Klatchoian et al., 2008; Steele et al., 2009; Bendo et al., 2012). The Generic Core Scale was composed by 23 items, and the Oral Health Scale is composed by five items.
