Represented in the image from Russell Varley and colleagues for their article on page 1410 is the impact on the compressive properties of an epoxy network from simply changing the aromatic substitution of tri‐aryl ether epoxy resins from meta to para position. Meta substituted networks are rigid (stiff) and strong as there is no phenylene axis of rotation available. In contrast, para‐substituted networks are more ductile (flexible) due to the additional energy dissipation mechanism provided by the phenylene axis of rotation. (DOI: 10.1002/pol.20200051)
