Abstract Wickerhamomyces anomalus, a yeast used for the biocontrol of postharvest diseases of fruits, significantly reduces the natural decay of pear fruit without causing any adverse changes in the pear fruit quality. In the present research, the proteome of control pear fruit and pear fruit treated with W. anomalus were analyzed by 2-dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE). Several differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) were identified in pear fruit treated with W. anomalus, among which 13 were up-regulated and 14 were down-regulated. The transcriptome of control and W. anomalus-treated pear fruits was also analyzed. RNA sequencing results revealed 1076 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in W. anomalus-treated pear fruits, in which 51.67% (556) were up-regulated and 48.33% (520) were down-regulated (at a log2 Fold Change ≥ 1, FDR
