On a cold Friday afternoon in January, 13 students from the AFS Québec Student Subunit (seven from McGill University and six from Concordia University, myself included) packed into a few cars in Montréal and drove south. We crossed the U.S. border and arrived at a beautiful wooden house in northern Vermont shortly after nightfall, soon joined by three more students from University of New Hampshire’s recently formed AFS Student Subunit.
